After Birth Mother Care

After birth mother care is important to both the baby and the mother. The mother's body has undergone drastic changes during pregnancy, during birth, and after birth. The mother also has great physical demands taking care of and breastfeeding a baby.

A sick mother, can also mean a sick baby. A contagious disease in the mother can transfer to the baby, and a sickness can make it difficult or impossible to breastfeed your baby.

* Don't eat foods that can make you sick

* Drink plenty of fluids. Water and tea work well.
